Here is the Verlinden B-17 crewman. Did not add the oxygen mask.

Nice figure. This is actually one of the first things I ever painted, and I always liked the look of it (the figure, not my awful painting at the time).

Yes, please let us know how you did those leathers, Rodger. Beautiful work.

Once I have your technique, I'm gonna look for that garage kit of Diana Rigg as Emma Peal, pour a whisky and have myself a painting party!

I used vallejo browns for the leathers. To be honest I cannot remember which ones. I think lol.leather brown and also umber?. There is a light, and I mean LIGHT bit of drybrushing with some contrasting red browns and then a wash , pretty heavy with sepia extra oil paint. I really like the look that sepia extra gives when used as a wash. Its not black, not brown, kinda plays off whatever is the base coat. Hope that this helps.

Thanks, Rogder.

I think I get the general idea. Sounds like the key is the drybrush with contrasting colors and the sepia wash to bring them all together.

I agree sepia is an interesting color - I have been experimenting with it on my last figure or two.

Thanks, and again, great job on your figure. What's the next project?
