Fancy this a lot.. looks seriously good ( I'm reminded of something an old American chum once told me... sculpting is easy, he said,
you just take a large rock and chip away anything that doesn't look like a horse ).

Although most of would never dream of sculpting I would imagine that the content of this book will serve those of us who might want to add legs to busts (steady Nap it happens), items of equipment or carry out minor conversions.

I have the French version of this book. It is very good book and I recommend it to anyone who wants to sculpt or modify a historic or fantastic subject.

thanks Greg ;)

Tried to order today but having problem with the address selection when ordering, cannot find U.K or Great Britain on the drop down country menu so gave up in the end. Will try again later as I would like to purchase the book.

Poor sods...remember the saying about first shooting the lawyers? In most countries I am thinking we would all rather not waste ammunition on lawyers when there are so many useless politicians about! Sorry..it’s not meant as politics. Just sympathy. Must be hell for folks like El Greco...

Looks interesting but there's so much available online for free it will probably have a limited market. A cheaper pdf download or CD version (even better if with video demos) would be interesting.

BTW: the site states $30... is that US Dollars or Euros?

Let’s see, I and a few others already stepped up..it sold well in French, and one of the best artists going who already has some online stuff going and is trying to eke out a living...it’s cheap ..if everyone wants things for nothing..well one ends up with a world driven by you tube and Facebook likes..which is sad...do some reading on his site, his blog, about piracy...and judge value..there is lots out there ..but not lots by the likes of this artist

Hi Grasshopper: no problem if you and others chose to buy the hard copy. Just saying that it limits the market and other publishing options are available. That doesn't mean that all free stuff is good (tho' I've seen much that doesn't seem much different from the site's screenshots), nor that YouTube and Facebook are the only platforms (in my previous incarnation as a marketing lecturer/consultant I saw many textbook publishers move to e-texts and interactive platforms). Nor is piracy inevitable (eg subscription logons with registered PC access).

As it stands, $30 (or EU30) plus carriage for 72, basically photo pages seems to me to be beyond what some potential customers would be prepared to pay.
