Completed Critique Boris Safonov - 1/16

One of my latest productions.

The WW2 Soviet Ace Boris Safonov. The figure is plastic, 1/16, from Eduard.

Despite the sculpture being good and the injection is very clean, still is a plastic figure, so, it has it´s problems, specially on assembly and the face details. Hair and ears had to be totally reworked for a at least acceptable result.

Considering the circunstances, i am satisfied with the result.

All painted in acrylics, except the throusers shadows, that are in oils. Sorry for the pics, that are getting better, mas still not that good.

Nice result you got out of this chuncky plastic kit! Actually, the upper body looks quite ok and your improvements and painting make it attractive to look at.

But I want to tell you a secret - Boris did not smoke)))

You can add the correct figure of shoes and a sweater) Sweaters are often worn in naval aviation

About the boots, i do not believe it will be posible to correct now, with the figure glued together. Unfortunately, i did not knew about that :-(

About the head, i will change it in a near future, so i will post new pictures.
