Hi Guys ,
At last I am finding time to post and what better way to start than to introduce to you a young lady who has done some box art for Up Miniaturen's Queen Louise bust as featured in my Review :
http://www.planetfigure.com/forums/showpost.php?p=375407&postcount=1
Her name is Marilyne Neurohr of French parentage on her mothers side , a young looking (like me ...of course:lol 33 years old frau from Germany ,and currently living near Munich .
Marilyne has been painting for about 13 years and in the past mainly a flats but ventures into normality !!! painting full figures and busts (ye hah) and working using mainly Acrylics.
Who does she admire in our great little world of figure painting ....... Greg di Franco , Jim Horan and Vladimir Douchkine to name a couple .
She admires and respects the work of Alfred Umhey who works at the museum d'Ardennes (he is of course the distinguished re-enactor who has amassed one of the finest collections of uniform illustrations ) .
Marilyne has worked also on various Film related projects and with collectors woldwide and is also a mean hand with the camera as well (unlike your scribe !!!)
Have a look at her website : http://www.creationcouleurs.de/creationcouleurs/Kontakt.html
and for some of her flats why not look at the homepage of Alexander Baden which is [FONT=Courier
New]http://www.flats-zinnfiguren.com/eigene/flats.html[/FONT] .
Its great to have a female painter to feature on PF , for me I like the delicate way she has painted the fleshwork ..almost a porcalain look and like the paintings we see from the period , there is some nice shadows and highlighting on the dress as well.
I have a feeling that we will see more from Marilyne in the near future so until then enjoy the pictures (also one of the lady herself ..more photgenic than me for sure)
