Le-Van Quang of PiliPili Miniatures recently released this 3 part resin kit depicting the "Boy Scout" Arriving in a small sturdy cardboard box with the parts sealed in a zip-lock bag for protection.

Conclusion:
An excellent kit with minimal clean up required. Detail is great and fitment of all parts is excellent. Highly recommended.

I like this one.

Face is youthful (looks like he could do with a good feed or two:))

Plus it could be painted up in the local scout colours, allowing for a community touch, or from ones childhood.

It could also be done as a bronze, as an award for "Best Scout of the Year" kind of thing.

Lots of options in that one

Thanks for the review

Cheers

Superb sculpting and painting Quang,

As someone whose been involved in Scouting, on and off, since 1974, I applaud your effort to portary the Scout in miniature.

My only disappointment is the lack of arms on the bust to display all the merit and other scouting badges on the uniform. With a few slight modifications to the hat and uniform, this could be a Scout for any number of countries.

I really like Jamie's idea of bronzing this bust to present it as an award to a local scout troop. In my years as a cub scout leader I would often take my figure models into the scout hall and the cubs would build their own models from clay and tounge depressors.
Every cub in my pack had a Art & Craft Achievement badge thanks to modelling.

Thanks Quang.

Thank you gents for the kind words.

I tried to keep the bust as 'universal' as possible so it can be used to portray scouts from different countries and periods. But there are so many variations that some adjustments have to be made from scratch or by scraping the details off and adding one's own.

Quang :)
