This is the last figure i finished

a british soldier bt d-day miniature in 1/35 scale
the wall by SDM and bushes have been made with teloxis
all painted in acrylics

Lovely colour tones and nice nice basework.
it is a really fine piece.
2 small points if you don't mind.
I think you might want to look at british Infantryman photos for this. It is difficult to find pictures of them in battledress without divisional and brigade patches on the upper sleeves.
At the very least the regimental name on a coloured backing curving round the shoulder seam at the top.
it will really complete your model.
The other point is that all bren gunners need to carry what is called a spare parts wallet.
This is a small canvas tool roll fastened wiyth two brass buckles, rolled and supended over the right shoulder.
This is quite essential, simple to make, and always carried.

Battle insignia was always worn even in the tropics the troops were fiercely proud of them.


Please don't think I am being critical, I love this figure as it is .
it is really nice.

I didn't know about that bag for bren gunners but i don't think i can find one..maybe i've got something in tamiya equipment sets..i nave to check

For The patches... Well i'd like to paint them but...i don't know if i can... The figure is too small and i'm not so good at painting such little things i can try but i don't think i will do them well

Great painting and presentation! You might find something suitable to fill the space on the upper sleeve on the decal market (Archer comes to mind).
