Thanx Mike, I get what you're saying... on the main colours, used up to eight very thin layers from shade to final highlight changing tone in very slight incrimments. Do you think that may have blurred some of the contrast between dark and light? As this was my first piece at this scale, I didn't want the transistions to be too stark. Maybe I underdid it. I need this kind of feedback because I only know one other painter in my area... this forum will be a great help! Thanx again
