It has this exhausted trench pallor that I think is spot on, every small detail works, like soil and rust on the shovel etc. Despite that it is not your favorite theme at all, I think its a great debut and entrance into WW1 scene, mate!
If anyone was ever to say that there was stable comfortable period in your works, I think this has blasted the cobwebs out.
