"British POW, Pacific Theatre" Bamboo Bridge Builder
200mm Resin - 5 parts
Sculpted & Painted by Randy Myers

POW 01.jpg

Model Cellar Productions has brought us a brilliantly sculpted British Officer of the Pacific Theatre depicting Alex Guiness from the Movie Bridge over the River Kwi. This bust is cast in 5 parts yellow resin with a box art color photo on the box for the painter to go by.

Arriving in a sturdy brown cardboard box the kit is enclosed in a clear plastic bag and wrapped in bubble wrap for protection. Styro-foam chips are inserted into the box to prevent any movement while in shipping and prevent damage.

Above are various views of the main part, the torso. Crisp detail and a great likeness to the movie character can be seen.

Above is the top and bottom of the hat. This part dry fits perfectly onto the main torso section to complete the hat.

The top photo above shows the shoulder board as a separate cast part and the bottom photo shows the Bamboo plinth to support the bust.

Conclusion:
An excellent kit with all parts cast clean and dry fitting of all parts was exceptional. Highly recommended.

Great review - might have to buy me one of these! Like the way the epaulette has been cast separately to relect the creasing caused by the salute; methinks though the Academy Sergeant Major at Sandhurst might have pulled him for cocking his wrist whilst saluting, & for not having the thumb locked parallel to the fingers!:)

Excellent sculpting. Shouldn't he have his rank badges (crown & pip) on his epaullettes and regimental badge on cap?

Happy modelling,

Mike
