Broken Toad

I bought a brush by this company and have been very impressed with it. However I went onto their web site tonight to buy more to find that only sizes 3/0 and 0 are available. Everything else is shown as no longer available which includes, sets, soap and brushes in sizes 1 & 2.

Sphere are listed as UK suppliers and their website also shows as out of stock-I'm now a bit reluctant to place an order with broken Toad and send anything Paypal in case they have folded.

Anyone know what is going on?

I tried the US suppliers websites over the weekend and all of them were similarly out of stock.

These guys make my favourite brushes - I had to chase around earlier in the year to buy a couple more and just assumed that they would have re-stocked by now . . . .still fingers crossed that they will soon be fully stocked again

Just lifted this from their facebook page, it would have been more helpful if they had placed this on their website.........not everyone spends their life on facebook.

Currently we are out of stock of our MK2 brush sets, we have had a lot of messages recently regarding this so I thought I would address it here so people know why this is the case.
We are very particular about the hair we use for our paint brushes, we only use hair from a specific region in the world and at the minute we are having an issue with the supply of this. Having a paint brush branded as Kolinsky Sable does not mean it is automatically an amazing brush, like everything else in life there are varying qualities of Kolinsky Sable ranging from very high quality to very poor quality. The hair that we source is, in our opinion, the best possible quality hair for our paint brushes, we are constantly trying new samples of Kolinsky hair but so far we haven't found any of better quality. We have spoke with our hair supplier today and have been told to expect our hair at the end of March, this means that the earliest we will have new brushes in stock will be April.
If any customers are wanting to purchase brushes before this time I recommend looking at the stockist section of our main website www.brokentoad.co.uk, here you will find all the official retailers of our products around the world.
We apologise if anyone has been inconvenienced by the lack of stock recently but we simply refuse to make products with supplies we know not to be of the highest standards, our customers only deserve the best.

Good quality brushes as we all know and all credit to Kris for refusing to compromise quality for sales ...exactly what I for one expect from Broken Toad

Wonder if they are taking preorders ?
