Browse Button

Hi Folks
Can someone answer a query? When I use New Topics I can't use File Attachments as the Browse Button is not there. Is there a reason for this? i.e do I have to signe up for something. If so can someone let me know. Thanks Pete.

Browser button appears on mine as well. I will let Gordy know you are having a problem so he can determine if it is a pf problem or a problem on your end.

Pete..I've had it happen only once before...I was trying to make a new post or topic for a few hours on and off with no luck...the next day it was back to normal...maybe just a quirk that happens every so often.

Pete,
could be a caching issue. If you are using IE, try clearing your temporary internet files, and your cookies. Close and restart IE and see if that helps. Worth a shot. Good luck,

I have the same problem. I just emailed Gary to ask about it and when I looked at my New Topic post, there was no browse button anywhere.

Still isn't as of a couple of minutes ago.

The browse button has been removed from non-vBench forums as space saving initiative. At present design the internal upload feature puts every image in one folder making it difficult to identify old outdated images from current images. A future version of the forum software will allow each individual a quota of disk space that each member can manage and decide what to keep and what to remove. Until then, an uncapped upload resource (like it is now) I run the risk of having degrade performance and run amok with disk space consumption.

Alternatives such as uploading to your ISP's offered space or online image storage sites such as KitPic can be used instead.
