Hi Mates!

As I told You, I make my figures – as well as I can - correctly after historic models.

A few weeks ago I presented to You my two self-made ancient roman consuls, Appius Claudius Pulcher…

…and Quintus Fulvius Flaccus in the year 212 b. C.

After being ready, I looked for a historic matching base for them.

After long considering I came to the decision, that the BEST (exactly the only possible one!) base would be a piece of the original floor of the “Curia Iulia”, the house of the ancient roman senate, which is to be seen at Forum Romanum, Rome.

This floor, restored 1932-1933, looks this way:

So I made on the basis of this - unfortunately perspectively distorted (but I found no better) – pictures a piece of this floor.

I have poured to me a plate from gypsum…

… all elements of the ground converted and drawed to scale…

… ... and after carefully painting ist looks very close to the original:

Now everything must be still assembled and then I hope I can show You more!

Greetings
