Bullock carts were used here (in Malaysia) till as late as the fifties (I think) for transport of all sorts of stuff such as firewood. They are still around but now mostly transport tourists.
Anyway, I started working based on this photo:

I bought two of mininature's nice young bulls. I did notice that their humps are quite a bit lower than in the photo but I thiink it will work anyway. To avoid having two identical twins pulling the cart, I bought two different models of the year-old ABBI bull, both in the same scale (1:32). Unfortunately, one of them is stunted, so ehhh, well. Just make do with it, I guess.

I wanted the driver to sit like on the picture and couldn't really find a suitable figure, so I decide that I might as well try to DIY one. Here the humble beginnings of my 2nd attempt. Floral wire, a bit of green stuff to get things to stick and super sculpey. Nothing impressive but any pointers on mistakes I no doubt made are very welcome. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Nap.
Oda, in my reference picture, it looks like the hump is pushing the bar. Raising the bar is prevented by looping a rope around the bar and the bull's neck.

Hi Henk,

Great to see you chose my models for your project! Love to see how this will end up, cause projects like this will bring my animals truly to life!
I'm sorry one of the bulls is a bit smaller than the other one. My collection of ABBI cattle is a quite variable set indeed, cause they are all sculpted on request to actual individuals and they are all in some different stages of age and it's I quite mixed breed. For a diorama with a field full of cattle no problem, but for a project like this a little more tricky. Feel free for future projects to check with me the actual sizes and if necessary, I can upload models also in other sizes, so they will fit your project perfectly. :)

Good luck and I'm looking forward to the proces!

Thanks Nap.
