bust of the German epee duel mensur & schmisse rapier fighter

I am starting the painting of the bust of this young German military academic student whit his rapier/epee fencing duel. The mask has been made of scratch, plastic tubes, sheet of lead and small métal grillage.
Here is the first step of painting with oil colors.The background colors is a light Grey. Some prefer black or dark background color.I prefer to play with transparent colors.oil is perfect for that.
