hello
this is my WIP of AC MODELS bust of Werner Voss.the only little nickle on it is its size.its much smaller than 1:10.i would think its more 1:12.
while the most ww1 aviators are this size the rest of the line is up to 1:10 scale maybe an little bit smaller than an Young bust.
well but what counts here is expression.the face is so fine and highly sculpted that it gives an fine impression of an young comtemplative man.i used acrylics and are quite happy with it.
i think i will finish it in the next days.
what can i say.i saw them here i was very keen on them and i must say they are excellent.(y)
cheers

hello
here are one with flash its again the missing light from side which makes the pic not so nice.well in real i am quite happy with him.the contrast are noticeable and still not too harsh.the painting in thin glazes does work.even if its still amateure class.
cheers

Hi markus, Good to see some of Andy's bust's being painted on this site, I think that this range of bust's (WWI pilot aces) from Andy were 1/12 scale (I may be wrong though). He will be pleased to see your work, I know Andy well and he puts a lot of time and effort into his sculpting. Les

hello les
thanks for your comment
you are surely right its 1:12 but does not matter.i grapped so far nine and will do them.i like the style and the sculpting.it seems to correspond to my painting habbits.
lets hope he will continue his line with so intriguing ideas, the rusian flyer with the bomb in hand would be on my list to buy as well.
iam an avid lover of them
cheers
