One thought, that is a newcomer may not know what Vallejo is, so a clarification early in the article that it is an Acrylic paint would help inform more readers.

What scale is that head? 1/16?

It's really interesting that you use black as a primer/base coat. I would think that it's difficult to paint lighter colors over black. It seems to work for you Calvin. Great stuff. ~Gary
