Here is my recently completed Scale 75 Ahab figure in what else 75 mm white metal. He is painted in Vallejo acrylics while the steam box is done in Vallejo and Model Master Metalizers. As depicted, this is the famous Captain Ahab’s son, some 30 years after the incident with Moby Dick.

The figure is stock with the exception of a steam hose from the steam box to the harpoon gun. The deck is stained balsa strips applied over the base and basswood.

He is posed next to a Model 1870 Stanley Steam Powered Tiller which was used on whaling ships in the steam age to make controlling the direction of the ship more manageable. It is constructed of a purchased wheel, handles and smoke stake. All the rest is from the parts boxes and mostly painted in Model Master Metalizer colors.

That certainly caught my eye.
A very nice piece of construction, painting and presentation.

Cheers,
Andrew
