the author of this vignette is Antonio Leveque. I don´t know, if you knew the german "kit. figuren-modell journal", but in number 5/2004 was a article called "a modest homage to Caravaggio" with a description about the modelling of this vignette.

I seen a picture of the work in progress of that vignette on a magazine some time ago (a review of an expo, maybe on a Soldatini issue), but I can't remember more.
I'll try to get a copy of the magazine you point out.

if you can´t get a copy of the magazine, I can scan this part of the magazine and send it to you, burned on a CD. But the article is in german language.
It is possible, that you can find the same article in a Soldatini issue, because I can remember me, that you can find in both magazine sometimes the same articles.
