This has been a very enjoyable experiment into 54mm (more like 60mm to be fair).

The sculpt and casting in white metal are just superb. Although over the years I have given up on many a smaller figure I am no expert but I have bought figures in the past that really are rubbish compared to this one from El Viejo Dragón, purchased from El Greco Miniatures.

All painted in acrylic with a simple textured base

Hi Graham

Well done you on this figure ...you have handled both the blues well ....a nice resuit ...don't think this will be the last figure in this scale we see from you

Thanks for sharing

Well done also on putting this piece into the class of your choice in our new look FOTM

Happy bench-time

Thanks Nap. It certainly won’t be the last but I have something totally different coming up soon while I save up for my next 54mm.

It was always my intention to make this my first entry under the new system of FOM which I think helped me focus on doing it as well as I could.

Have you painted it? I have seen very few examples of it finished but it is a lovely looking figure.

No, but I should buy it. My wife's grandfather was in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in WW1 and it would therefore be likely she would approve:angelic: Hmmm...?
