You know I'm not an historical guy nor a good review maker but when I received these two from Ian I got really impressed, first for the fineness of the sculpts and second for the superb resin cast they did.
Both figures where sculpted by Pete Morton (Diamond Cutter here on Planet), one in 120mm and the other in 54mm, but to be honest the smaller one seems more a little 1/35 scale rather than in 1/32 scale. The sculpting progress of the 120mm figure is available here on Planet.
Being a Superhero fan and having an almost zero knowledge about Celts I'm sorry I cant tell you so much about the related historical background, in fact I was thinking about a Thor conversion for the 120mm... , the only thing I can say is that they are really cool (at least for me) and I never seen a so good resin casting for so small figures.
Here some pics of the pieces, the shots I took suck a bit but I hope they will be enough to give you an idea about them. For any question about the kits feel free to get in touch with Ian through his email ([email protected]) or his website (http://www.friendshipmodels.com/).
The 120mm figure
and the smaller one (1/35)
the head of the 120mm piece as well the cutter blade are for size reference.
The two
and some more pics for size reference
Again, my compliments to the sculptor and to the caster who did such a stellar job, something not so common in these days.
