Hi All,

With thanks to Eduard Perez please see the 75mm Imperial Guard Drummers now available from links below.

There are currently 2 options, that of a single figure and a set of 3 figures to make a complete ranks.

Set of 3 complete drummers here

https://www.cgsmilitaryfigures.co.uk/product-page/ep0275x3-3x-75mm-imperial-guard-drummers

Please note Drum Major is available separately and not included in the set.

These will be followed by 120mm and 200mm
Many thanks

A great idea and set piece but what on earth is going on with the bearskins...? It looks like they are wearing pineapples rather than bear fur.

Sculpting styles, you like ot not!
I cannot please everyone, to me under the brush it would look superb, but maybe that’s me, and I thank you for the comments!
These are Waterloo veterans and you can clearly see they are not the bearskin we are used to seeing, say by modern day guards. They are layered!

Hi Gra

Nice idea to have the option to build up a group of drummers or just single

Nice sculpting details in Eduard’s style

Painted up it’s certainly going to look good

Thanks for sharing

I have preferred to copy David Grieve in producing my bearskins: https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/200mm-captain-coldstream-guards.291933/ and https://www.dfmilitaryfigures.co.uk/shop/Private-the-Coldstream-Guards-p553296544.

The bearskins in the photos were taken decades after Waterloo. The French infantry bearskin in the National Army Museum is a very sorry sight: https://collection.nam.ac.uk/detail.php?acc=1963-09-303-1, but then it is just over two hundred years old. Personally I think the bearskins as modelled are over layered, and although this may not be too obvious on the 75mm figures, it might be more obvious in the larger scales. I would be happy to offer my services should a more subtle appearance be required!
