Hi all just completed this super bust from the hands of Carl Reid and cast by Graham at CGS...
Beautifully sculpted and cast.......this is the first in 1/6th scale which hopefully will continue with more in this scale....I know the old guard has been done many times before but in my opinion
you can't have too many....many thanks for looking......Mike

Hi Mike

Trying to catch up with threads .....that's nice , do like the details on the buttons and the facial work , nice treatment on the whites

Interesting the finish at the epaulettes

Must be quite a tall piece with the bearskin as well

Why not support FOTM by voting in Decembers comp and entering in January's

Always good to see your painting

Look forward to more

Happy benchtime

Lovely paint job on this bust but I am not sure about the sculpt, it looks top heavy.
I prefer head and shoulder busts to half figures but feel this one has been cut off at the wrong point.

However,as said, a terrific bit of painting.

Hi Kev and your comments appreciated.....as regards the epaulettes....the last thing I did was to give them a diluted wash of AV game colour red wash.,..
just tried something a bit different.....(y). Mike

Hi Bill and many thanks....it might be my photos .....(y). Mike

It is true that there are never too many painted grenadiers, I have this piece in mind to buy like so many others.
Congratulations on the nice paint job.
Santi.
