I 65mm (?) kit from Black Sun Minis from the UK. After reading the "Joys of Small Bases" (or some
some similar title) at Massive Voodoo blog page, I tried something simple and put her on a 2"x 2" cube. Thanks for looking

That's a brilliant figure and extremely well painted too.
I've been thinking about buying this figure for a long time now, but painting her as a "Panther Woman" to tie in with a character in Gemmell's second book, "The King Beyond the Gate".
Reckon I'll go ahead and enter the order today.

Cheers

I've been trying to hunt one down since seeing your example Kev. I had assumed I could simply source one direct from Black Sun Miniatures but found out this afternoon that she's Out of Stock on their website. I've found a Stateside dealer who has one available for US$37, which I reckon is a bit steep, and I know from previous purchases that shipping to China from the USA is prohibitively expensive. So I reckon my best bet would be contact Black Sun first and ask if they'll ever restock it. Failing that, I might just have to bite the bullet and order from the States, but not until I've exhausted all search options.
If anyone knows where I can find one, preferably from the UK, then I'm all ears.
Cheers

H,
Could never hurt to contact Black Sun. Maybe with your request it may be enuff for them to start another batch. Short of that, that $37 isn't too bad for a 65mm. Knowing guys who sell resin kits, it's not how much resin is used totally but how difficult the mould has to be to get the kit done. Some seemingly simple kits are a lot of $ because the moulding is particularly difficult. I hope you find one!

I did contact Black Sun mate. Here's the reply.

Hello Harry!
Kainda the Cheetah woman, is now discontinued and no longer available.

It's my own fault, I should've been quicker off the mark when it was available.
No worries, I have a bunch of kit figures in transit anyway, plus I'm placing an additional order with El Greco tomorrow.
I'm also intending to order some of Black Sun's newer stuff during May and then again in September.
So while it's a bit disappointing, the earth is still spinning on its axis; and I still have enough kits stashed in the cupboard, (or actually on my workbench right now), to keep me busy for months/years to come.

Ugh. That sux. But yeah, I learned a while ago when I was more active in the larger scale garage kits that how popular or unpopular the kits are, that they are all short production. I know I've missed a bunch I really wanted over the years.
As you said I too have probably more kits that I could ever finish in two lifetimes on my back shelves.

I checked again and even with the cheapest postal option, the Stateside example would total $60 which is just under £50. So I'm reluctant to pull the trigger on it when Black Sun have a 75mm 2-figure set that I also want, at much the same price.
However, I found two European dealers over the weekend who have the Cheetah Lady in stock at a total cost (including shipping) of £30. To be honest, I'm already well over my self-imposed hobby budget after my somewhat rash spending spree this month, but if I receive a response from either of those dealers over the next couple of days, then I'll most likely add the kit to my grey army. Talking of which, I really ought to go through that GA and thin out the items I know I'll never get around to.
Meanwhile, I've got RP's kit of a mounted Sun T'zu sitting on my workbench and a bunch of Chronos Mongols & Byzantines as well. Plus I've a very simple 54mm 10-figure display to finish off, hopefully by end of this week.
Not much chance of getting bored with that little lot still to be done.
Anyway, enough of my rambling - thanks for the encouragement Kev and once again, that's a really terrific figure you've turned out.

Cheers
H
