Chota Sahib 54mm officer Skinners Horse c1890

Just completed this rather old but still great model. Chota sahib certainly were the leaders in 54mm back in the 1980"s The figure was well cast with little clean up necessary, all painting was done in oils.

Thanks Nap, yellow is a hard one it turns green just by looking at it. I picked up a tip while doing aircraft in trainer yellow. A spot of red into the yellow does the trick. With oils its probably only about the tip of a no 1 brush into a small bead of Cadmium yellow.

Bruce, is the 90mm as high quality as the 54? I ask as I do love the subject, but I think I recall that Chota's 90mm stuff wasn't as good as his 54s. How does it hold up to the present day stuff?

Some years back I painted both the 90mm and 54mm versions, unfortunately long gone. As I recall the 54mm version had the sharper detail. i would say that in their day Chota sahib were the best and lets remember that Syd Horton didn't use a 3D printer. I have done much in the way of the new hi tech stuff so noy really able to compare but for a figure thats maybe 30 years old, pretty good. here are a couple of other Chotss I did recently
