Having been a huge fan since first hearing her version of "I Would Rather Go Blind" with Chicken Shack on Radio Luxemburg way back in 1969, I was saddened at the news that Christine McVie has passed away.

To some extent possibly overlooked by fans of Fleetwood Mac in favor of Stevie Nicks, she was IMO the far better vocalist, as well as being a great songwriter; eg. who will ever forget "Songbird"?
Her self-titled 1st solo album is still one of my go-to's whenever I feel like some really good AOR.

Although I generally prefer the Peter Green era of Fleetwood Mac there's no denying they were one of the biggest bands in the world from the mid-1970's to the mid-1980's with Ms. McVie an integral cog in the album factory.

Geez, they've been dropping like flies these past few years. Whenever yet another of my Rock Gods or Goddesses heads off to that "Great Gig in the Sky", I'm constantly reminded of The Commodores classic, "Nightshift"...although I do reckon Springsteen does a good cover...

Such a sad loss, she was a very talented songwriter and musician.
My wife and I went to a concert back in 2015 when Christine had rejoined the band after a break.
They were absolutely superb.

RIP Christine and thank you for all the wonderful music.

Malc
