At "Chronos" they made three horses in 1:30 scale (about 54 mm) from resin...:

Horse No. 1 (Achal-Teke breed) ...:

--------------------------------------------

Horse No. 2 (Orel breed):

--------------------------------------------

Horse No. 3 (Anglo-Arabian thoroughbred) ...:

-------------------------------------------

The whole thing is initially a "trial balloon" because they want to test at "Chronos" whether there is a market for it. Therefore, at the moment it is not thought to bring the horses widely in the trade. They are not intended for commercial purposes, but only for personal use!

Each horse costs 1,200 rubles (= 17,20 €), plus shipping.

So if you are interested, you should contact "Chronos" asap!

Horses in this scale are yet - apart from a few names apart - actually only from "Historex". Although in all conceivable poses but all so that you have to "broaden" them.

In that regard, I see quite a market for it - if it probably is hardly a mass market ...

Cheers

This is fantastic news!!!!!For years I have been hoping that some company will take it upon themselves to produce horses of various breeds and not just a generic "horse" in 54mm and now I see that it is Chronos-one of my most favourite companies ever-that steps up to the challenge. What can I say?Let's hope this catches on and Chronos expands its range of breeds.

The Anglo/Arabian does not look very Arabian. Typically the head would be more concave above and below but the body shape is about right. The Orel is typically more stocky and the Achal-Teke looks about right.

Good sculpts though.

Hi, everybody!
This project was made for http://sculptandpaint.com
But if information appeared here, then you can ask me the questions.

Breeds of horses in scale 1/30 are rather conditional.
When we did models, we worked with concrete photos.
The Anglo-Arabian horse is the French option of breed, the appearance of horses of this breed can differ strongly among themselves depending on proportions of the Arab and English blood.

Excellent images. As a brand specialized in mounted figures, in the future I will ask you for these three copies and I will use them to model future figures of any of the series that make up El Taller-Hobbyart. Congratulations

I think these horses can make a lot of modelers happy! I've been looking for naked horses beside the Historex ones for so long and now here they are...and wonderfully modelled too!

Chronos. When I see anything with Arabian blood I expect a slender head , big eyes and a concave nose and of course s slender body.

It does vary but if you Google Anglo Arabian you will find typically most have the features I describe.

As I said. Great sculpts.

On an aside I prefer Spanish breed particularly the Lusitano. Great balance, rounded and sticky with a Roman nose. Fearless with great endurance. Had don fun on Lusitanos.

good sculpt

partly I agree, the Arab Anglo is distinguished in at least three stocks.
French Arab Anglo ... with a predominantly small and arquata head (born about 1840)
Sardinian Arab Anglo .... with a larger head and square (born in 1874 and perfected at the beginning of 1900)
Spanish Arab Anglo ... with straight head (born around 1960)

Attention then to use them correctly in the three proposed subjects .... an Arabian anglo can not be present at waterloo for example
Akhal tekè is the ancestor of Arabic and has existed almost forever, there are at least seventeen different bloodlines with different morphological aspects

The progenitor of Orrel is an Arabian stallion but has received blood from many different races (born in the second half of the 1700s)

my favorite is the Akhal Tekè and my dream remains to have one in flesh and blood (already many of different races I have had and sooner or later it will happen to have one from the reflections of the sea)
sorry for my english

Thanks for your words. I see that my idea is pleasant to much. As I already wrote, there is no precise binding to breeds in 1/30. Akhal Tekè of course is always recognizable, other breeds are rather conditional.

Keep'em coming Chronos. We need more breeds:a pure-bred Arab,a heavy drought horse and of course a Mongol pony for starters.Lippinzaners,a furioso (the list is endless).Chronos is always in the avant-garde of the figurine world and this release proves it.
