I went to the show with about a dozen members of my IPMS club. Very nice time. I talked with a member of the two host clubs that I know and he told me that it was a record turn out for models. I think it was something like 460+ but don't quote me.
Lots of IPMS shows I've been to have a light figure turn out. But there wasn't any problem at this show. Plenty of really good pieces on the tables to look at.
The model room was a bit cramped but one wall was all glass so the lighting was great. The vendor room was laid out with nice wide aisles so getting around was not a problem. And there were plenty of vendors there to keep you busy looking around.
They're hosting a 2 day regional show next year. My understanding is that it's going to be located not too far from the regular site and they've got a huge amount of space to hold the show.
I know I'm looking forward to making the trip up to Cleveland again.
