Hi friends,
first of all my best wishes for a Merry Christmas and an happy new year.

Attached some pics of my latest finished job. It’s a portrait of Col. Xavier Schwartz that lead the 5th hussar under Lassalle being part of the “Infernal Brigade” with the 7th hussars.

The name “Infernal Brigade” was given because during the pursuit of the Prussian army they took a town ( Stettin ) and a lot of prisoner, flags, gun.

The pursuit remain one of the best Napoleonic action of all the period.

I imagined Schwartz pushing his men to the pursuit crying to the slowest of them.

That’s the idea… the figure is coming… hoping you enjoy it

mud

great job though I find the mud on the cape a bit too much

Vergilius,
Probably you are right. It's a strange things determinate how a cap can be dirty, I choose to have a lot of dirty on it because the colour... The dirty reduced the impact of the grey/blue cap on the figure giving it some more uniformity.
