Colour mixes for hair with Vallejos

Hello

I would appreciate some suggestions on colours to use for 1/35 hornet head's hair. The most difficult to attempt for me is blonde. How would I start the base layers, and wht type of highlights should I use? Also, any tips on brown and black hair would be welcome.

I'm new to Vallejo's but I tried a Lighter brown by using the following:
Basecoat with Beige Brown.
Washcoat with Smoke (very thin wash ) to enhance the sculpture definition.
Recoat with Beige Brown on the raised sculpture portions only (like a highlight)
Start highlights with mix of Beige Brown & Brown Sand.
Add more Brown Sand to mix for the highlights until the paintwork is to your taste.
