It's been brilliant. Got to the Rugby 7's, the Mountain Biking and the Road Race.
Had a couple of great nights out, the city was really buzzing and at it's friendly best. The past week was also the Merchant City Festival.
Usually a bit cynical but this was great and makes me proud of how well it went and how the Glaswegians rose to the occassion.

Usain Bolt said the Commonwealth Games were "a bit ****".
And this was from a woman journalist from the Times, not a big seller in Glasgow. Perhaps she was looking for people to believe her and boost sales.
Usain Bolt after his race stayed in the arena for about an hour, mixing with the crowd, taking selfies for people and with them, just had a ball. The Jamaican team in the race were all dancing about wearing "Tartan" hats and mixing with the crowd. Not bad for guys that thought it was ****. Usain after the race said it was great recorded on TV not from the mind of some London based unknown bitd,
HRH the Crown Prince of Malaysia ( games chief) sayed Glasgow was "Pure Dead Brilliant" in his best Glasgow accent and called it "The Best Games Ever" and he should know, he has been to them all!!!!
It was reported several times that Gold Coast has a lot to catch up on, nut I didnt think they would start today.
Despite the little shown on Australian TV it was wonderful! Hampden was filled for every event (44,00 a time) someone must have liked it!

And this is the "Grumpy side" of Ron creeping out! All because Del never got him a free ticket.
Ron stopped enjoying areana events when they stopped puting Lions in with the Gladiators, like they did when he was a boy.
