I have in recent times had excellent response to enquiries from:-
El Greco
Historex Agents
Name It!
S K Miniatures

I have been ignored by:-
Bonapartes
CGS
FER
MadeinItaly

All these were reasonable enquiries which were easy to respond to. Why do these people not see that every ignored communication is a potential loss of sales?

Bill

Hi Bill

Sorry if we have missed your enquiry at Bonapartes. I can't see any unanswered emails from anyone called Bill in the last month or so. Assuming it was an email you sent and was in the name of Bill? If it is still something you need help with, then please send us an email or give us a call. Please bear in mind , we are a small family business and both work full time so may not get back to you instantly, but will do our best.

Thanks
Paul

Always good to praise companies but surprised at those that never responded

One I would like to highlight with exceptional communication ....ROSEMARY's BRUSHES

Ordered on a Friday at 1:15 pm
Confirmation email 1:18
Another confirming preparing for shipping at 1:24
Email at 1:37 ....items shipped
Received Saturday at 10:15 am

Now that's what I call good comms and service

As already said most of the companies in our hobby are regarded as cottage industry. Therefore I am not too harsh on slow communication but was more than once pleasantly surprised about the amount of support and generousity when I contacted them about a problem, missing part and else - among them Steven Kirtley, Gordon Mitchell and Alex from Castle Miniatures. Thank you guys!

I live in the Dominican Republic and the hobby is unknown here and as we have no postal service as such I have to order stuff via the internet and sent to a business mail address in Florida for onward transmission. I recently ordered from El Greco and within an hour I got a message from Matt requesting a confirmation of the address as it is a bit unusual. So big thumbs up for their service.
On the other hand it's a big thumbs down for Greenstuff World from me. Took delivery of their gold and silver sable brushes which are unusable. Maybe not a good product or maybe a bad batch. I will never know because despite direct contact on their official Facebook page and numerous emails to the company politely requesting a conversation about said brushes they have not responded. All I got from the Facebook page was "thank you for your comments, Have a nice day". There was no attempt to back those product or discuss my issue and zero reply to any emails.
I cannot understand any company not at the very least engaging with a customer.

hi Bill

which company is madeinitaly? never heard about... do you intend figurinitaly? where did you write? at which mail address?

As Bonapartes and Ivo have responded through this forum I must assume my emails to them went astray ( spam folder perhaps?)
I withdraw my comments regarding them.

As I seem to have ruffled a few feathers I have decided to be a bit more selective about my postings in future. No more complaining.

Hi Bill

Like many I am sure technology puts emails into spam for whatever reason and I am positive if they were seen then all would have responded

As for ruffling feathers ...certainly not as far as I am concerned so do post as you wish ,moderators will deal with anything not in line with the forum policies

Feel free to PM me

Bill

I asked you at with mail did you write your message because I constantly check the spam and, considering that you wrote to a non existing company name, maybe also the mail could be wrong...

thanks if can answer also to my private message

Hi Ivo,
I am quite prepared to admit that the fact I did not get a reply from you could have been my fault although the email did not bounce back. I have already withdrawn my comments in an earlier post and I apologize unreservedly if I have caused you offence. This was never an attack against any one personally just an record of my experience with emails.

I would point out that I have had no reply to any of the emails mentioned.

I have made a decision to just deal with a small number of distribution agents and will no longer contact any manufacturer direct.

Regards Bill
