Well, finally finished this mammoth project. Very enjoyable all the way through with the sculpts some of the best i've ever seen in 1/32. Will sit down and take some proper pictures in the coming weeks but will make do with these pictures taken at Figureworld this weekend. roll call 1.jpg roll call 2.jpg roll call 1.jpg roll call 1.jpg roll call 1.jpg roll call 2.jpg roll call 3.jpg roll call 3.jpg

Many thanks chaps, figures were a joy to paint. The footprints were done with a set of Historex legs, Polyfilla and a very bored missus. I was asked the question on Saturday when I mentioned that the missus had done the footprints as to how big she was:happy:. The composition was unplanned as I had settled the figures into the wet/damp Polyfilla but turned out that I hadn't left enough room for one of the figures so had to bump him down the queue as it were. The drummer boy was moved from the colour party as I had seen a black and white picture of the Grenadier Guards recreating the Roll Call in 1904 with him next to the CSM calling the Roll.
Cheers

Well done; I like the idea of doing them on the diagonal; will use the idea when I do my own version (I think it will be a good winter project). Need to find or commission a base first.

Many thanks for the kind comments on this piece gents, it's been a labour of love as i had always wanted to do this project ever since i saw the painting.Again i can't compliment Moz and Gordon enough for having the guts to do it.
Cheers

Hi Paul,
It was nice to put a face to the name at FW. I viewed this with Tommi on Saturday and we were both impressed with your composition, quality of work and the speed in which you completed this mammoth task. Very impressive, it was my personal favourite of the whole show.
cheers
Richie

Cheers again chaps, Richie, great to also put a face to name. Many thanks for the massive compliment, truly humbled by the comments at the show and also on this forum. There were a few dramas putting the whole thing together on the friday night but suprising what several cups of strong tea can do.
Cheers
Paul
