Hi everyone,

this is my second my second figure nearly from scratch. The head is a Hornet item, the rest mostly Duro or a mix of Duro and MS. Hope you like it. Painting is on the way.
Criticism is very welcome.

Best wishes!

Mark

Mark,
I'm with Joe, nice movement. The folds on the jacket are very convincing. Great stuff considering your tenure in sculpting! Does the right hand index finger look a tad funny? Keep us posted

Mark, The figure looks nice. The only comments I have regard the look of the right arm in the first photo. It appears very long from the shoulder to the elbow. As noted in another posting the index finger on the right hand looks a bit wavy. Keep on sculpting you're doing quite well.~Gary

Thanks for the kind words!

Joe, you are right, I took an older Bill Horan figure as example - although of course I will never come close to Bill.
Jay and Stephan, it is true that the right hand and fingers still look weird, I will rework this but I really had trouble sculpting the hand and the individual fingers.
Gary, you spotted a weak point of the figure. I worked with a mannequin and when sculpting the right sleeve the volume of the arm got out of proportion.

Your comments help me a lot.

Mark, I think, the figure looks very good, the movement, the suround, and the detailing is quite well. Those little "imperfections" are hopefully easy to treat with, but for me, what counts, is the overall view of the sculpting. And I love to see those efforts by fellow modellers!

Maybe I am alone with my opinion, but when I see a sculpted figure with all those different materials, sometimes it is a "shame" to paint it...

Very nice sculpting indeed, youve got talent.

I do however agree with Gary´s comment on the shoulder, when lifting the arm like that the whole shoulder moves along with it. Try to stand in front of a mirror and do this movement yourself and you will notice. This also tend to make the arm look a little bit to long.

Cheers

Hello everyone,

some time passed the figure is painted by now. I was not able to correct all of the "anatomy errors", especially the shoulder, but I will be more observant to anatomy next time. Painting was done with a mixture of enamels and acrylics. Hope you like it.

Best wishes

Mark

That is a very good composition!! The Base rocks in every way, it is top notch, groundwork perfectly rendered and executed!

The painting is well done, too, I love your skintones, the hand for example lools fantastic, as the rest of the figure!

This piece is definitly a winner!
