I have two 90mm DES Kit figures, that I am considering putting up for sale (or trade), but before I do so they are both missing their bayonets. I have sent an e-mail but have not received a reply. I live in the US and my French is nonexistent, so phoning them is out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi I had a simular problem trying to explain myself in German about postage I used google translate but with this emailing would be the only way forward but itl get you understood you set the language then tap in your word and itl come out all "foreign" like.Hope this helps .I can only speak for myself but I always feel a bit ignorant when it comes to langauge as an English speaker all the foreigners ive spoken too speak English better than me! If all else fails try phoning them and try the speaking very loadly , slowly and breaking the words up into syllables aproach its worked for us in Spain since the 60's with this tequnique and plently of pointing you can speak any langauge perfeckly =) hope this helps ,Mick

Write this to them :

Bonjour
Hello
Je vis aux EU, et j'ai deux de vos kit 90mm : ...................................................
I'm living in the US and have 2 kits 90mm from you : .......( kit decription ) ...
Malheureusement j'ai égaré les baïonnettes .
Unfortunately, I misplaced the bayonets
Est-il encore possible de recevoir 2 pièces ( éventuellement contre payement )
Is it still possible to get 2 pièces ( eventualy I could pay )

Merci pour votre compréhension

Meilleures salutations

Best regards

You have me beat (then again my drink always was a Cuba Libre;)). Back in grad school I did discover I could read French and Spanish reasonably well, but regurgitating it was a different matter entirely. I did have conversation in Spanish (very short in duration mind you) a couple of years ago, that when finished, my wife asked when I learned Spanish, to which I responded that I have lived in Los Angeles for over thirty years. I probably know enough to order a beer, find the toilet, and get my face slapped, all things a good pirate needs to know.

No response yet (in either French or English), but it turns out one of the figures is complete, so given the price I paid (they were given to me:LOL:) I still came out ahead. I might just see what inspiration come to me and do some kind of a conversion.;)

Update: received this e-mail this morning,

" Bonjour
Je vous envoie les pièces égarées dès que possible
Cordialement Maurice DES "
I assume the coorect response is" merci".

The parts arrived today, sort of; instead of send one set of replacement parts for two figures, I received two sets for one of them. It works out, because one of the figures was not missing parts afterall. Thank you to everyone that offered assistance.
