Managed to get this OOP Chota Sahib figure a while back of a Corporal of Horse, Royal Horse Guards, 1897.
Using acrylics for the uniform and oil for the flesh areas and all have been base coated, except the stable jacket which is finished. The medal ribbons on the jacket are the Egypt medal and the Khedive's star medal.
The breeches have been undercoated in deck tan and will be highlighted with ivory later.
Thanks for looking

There is so much interesting stuff at 54mm just too small for me but I love to follow what you do with them. Excuse my ignorance but isn’t he a Sgt? Three stripes?

Beautiful figure Bob.Very nostalgic too.I have painted Chota Sahib's Lord Cardigan in the past and I have Cpt Nolan, a Guard in winter clothing from the Crimea and a trooper from the 2nd Afghan war from the same company waiting in my GA.They are lovely figures and with careful painting like yours they can still yield great results.

Oda.

Very nice Bob. What scale is he?

54mm Chezzie

I've got one for sale at the moment and I'm seeing how he paints up and wondering . . . . (Nice job so far Bob, by the way) :)

Graham quote from wiki
Corporal of horse(CoH) is a rank in theBritish Army'sHousehold Cavalrycorresponding tosergeantin other regiments. Formerly, nocavalryregiments had sergeants, but the Household Cavalry are the only ones to keep this tradition alive. It is said to stem from the origin of the wordsergeant, which comes from the same root asa servant . Since even the lowliesttrooperin the Household Cavalry was once agentleman, it was considered that such a rank was inappropriate. The rank of corporal of horse has existed since at least the 1660s. The rank below isLance-corporal of horseand that above isstaff corporal.
A corporal of horse wears three rank chevrons surmounted by a metal crown. He is addressed using his full rank title

Thank you all for the great coments,
Oda they are very good figures if you can still find them
