This is Crecy Models 54mm English Archer at the battle of Crecy, 1346 A.D.

I won´t be painting the figure for a while, but thought I´d show what you get for your money.

The model came well protected by foam in a card box.
The smallest parts were packed in a little stiff plastic-bag.

The body is simple a one-piece casting.

Left hand and bow are cast together.

A piece of cotton thread will have to be found to string the bow.

Left and right arms, a buckler, quiver-bag, a couple of edged-weapons and a mallet.

You get a choice of two heads.

I think the face has a suitably youthful look to it.

A small hand-axe and 4 arrows are included.
The arrows have no fletchings and the shafts are very soft.

I´ll not be using them, but will make my own instead.

That hand axe and mallet may have been used to fashion a defensive work of sharpened stakes.
A selection of 4 is included.

Ofcourse, a base is supplied to mount them and the figure on.

All in all, a nice simple kit that I look forward to finishing one day.

Thanks for the review Spike. Its always nice to know what the kit looks like "out of the box" as its not a brand I am familiar with.

As a beginner to modelling military figures, I do like the simplicity of this one.

Arrows can be made from sewing needles with fletchings and arrowheads of plastic card or putty.
