A new batch of releases for October 2016 - now available for trade and retail:
October's Releases
It's been blimmin' ages since the last set of releases, so let's make amends for that with nineteen - count 'em! - nineteen whole releases for your purchasing pleasure! All told there's fifteen for Darklands and four for BaneLegions, a veritable plethora of miniatures of all shapes and sizes.
For BaneLegions, there's four Orcs on Wyverns - two fightery types, Buggrom and Grimbash, and two shamany types, Queefus and Shazham. For Darklands, there's Rēoc's Pack (comprising the unit and three individual miniatures) for the Anglecynn; the Snorting Toracx (again, a unit and three individual miniatures), Taai-ac the giant wolverine and Cqaa the enormous rhino-man for hte Fomoraic; the brutal Aggrakk, a huge croc-man, for the Khthones; Egil Dead Hand the Hrafnmann warchief, the amazing Birna on giant raven and Torleik the Troll for the Norse; and the quite foul Blunt-Claw on Goz-Horror for the Vras and Ysians!
Sadly, we've not been able to get them painted in time for release, but the miniatures themselves are fantastic as always - and just like the previous releases, thanks to us being busier than busy bees we've just not had the time to get the release art and descriptions done; but you can still see some good images of each miniature on the website of course.
Rēoc's Pack, Frēawulf Unit
These guys are a great addition to your Anglecynn host for they're ideal to get around the flanks of your enemies. Rēoc's Pack - a unit of five Frēawulfas, or great wolves (comprising Rēoc himself, and two each of Brega and Hædo) - stand on 40mm bases and are easily the equal of a human. Dire wolves, basically! Sculpted by Benoît Cosse from the artwork by Danny Cruz.
Taai-ac, Ferocious Cúgacx
Taai-ac is a mightily powerful giant wolverine as big as a very big bear, and that's why he stands on a 60mm base. A powerful beast with a ferocious temperament, Taai-ac was sculpted by Benoît Cosse from the artwork by Steve Pierce.
Snorting Toracx, Toracx Unit
Another unit of powerful, ferocious beasts, the Snorting Toracx comprise three different miniatures, one of which - Báintaac - was released ages ago. Complete with the unit leader, Taachka, and the joyfully leaping Ckamaac, the Snorting Toracx won't hang around in the face of the enemy! Sculpted (again) by Benoît Cosse from the artwork by Stefan Kopinski and Dan Warren. These guys stand on 60mm bases of course!
Cqaa, Thundering Srónox
Sculpted by the ever-amazing Allan Carrasco from the artwork by Danny Cruz, Cqaa is a huge rhino-man-beast even bigger than the Srónax, for he stands on an 80mm base and can easily overcome the most powerful of opponents. With that mighty horn, who could doubt it?
Aggrakk, Krokokh Warrior
Not content with a unit of five croc-men (the Slaughterers), the Khthones get themselves a huge croc-man even bigger than those guys. Standing on an 80mm base and wielding a hammer bigger that could crush a human to pulp in seconds, Aggrakk is a great addition to your Khthones Krokodar host!
Birna, Dottir of Hrafnen on Fellhrafn
Time for some Norse, and where better to start than with the comely Birna? She's already released on foot, of course, but we've given her a fantastic mount to scout and flank and dive upon the enemy - an armoured Fellhrafn! Sculpted by Allan Carrasco (Birna and armour) and Roberto Chaudon (the Fellhrafn) from the artwork by Danny Cruz, Birna on Fellhrafn is a fantastic centrepiece for any winged Norse host!
Egil Dead Hand, Hrafnmann Jarl
More winged Norse, this time for the Hrafnmenn, sculpted by Roberto Chaudon from the artwork by Dan Warren. Egil Dead Hand is a Hrafnmann Jarl, a leader of Hrafnmann, and has a little more equipment and bearing than the rest. Together with the Corpse Takers, the Hrafnmann Unit, the Norse can really fly...
Torleik, Two Axe Troll Warrior
Staying on the ground this time, the long-awaited additions to the Trolls are trickling in. Torleik is the first new Troll to join the Norse for a good long while, but the wait has been worth it - it should be, thanks to being sculpted by Allan Carrasco from the artwork by Stef Kopinski! The unit of Two Axe Trolls should be with us soon, once Vörtun has been converted two wield two axes, of course.
Blunt-Claw, Vras-Lord on Goz-Horror
We've saved the best until last (well, for Darklands). The zany craziness of Sam Lamont (artist) and Yannick Fusier (sculptor) have produced a miniature without compare - you'll find nothing else like Blunt-Claw on his Goz-Horror, complete with cooking utensils, full cauldron and draped dead bodies as well as horrible breath, nasty teeth and poky spear. There's so much going on with this miniature it's almost impossible to describe him! Suffice to say, any ratty army would benefit from this guy as its centrepiece...
Grimbash, Orc Warlord on Wyvern
The first of four Orcs on Wyverns sculpted by Tim Prow (Orc) and Gary Morley (Wyvern armour), Grimbash is a bog-standard Orc Warlord with cleaver and shield, sat up on a mighty Wyvern (converted from the Brythoniaid Wyvern, Typhaggahw, of course).
Buggrom of Ulmo, Orc Warlord with Great Weapon on Wyvern
The second of four Orcs on Wyverns sculpted by Tim Prow (Orc) and Gary Morley (Wyvern armour), Buggrom is an Orc Warlord with great weapon, sat up on a mighty Wyvern (converted from the Brythoniaid Wyvern, Typhaggahw, of course).
Shazham, Orc Shaman on Wyvern
The third of four Orcs on Wyverns sculpted by Tim Prow (Orc) and Gary Morley (Wyvern armour), Shazham is an Orc Shaman with staff, sat up on a mighty Wyvern (converted from the Brythoniaid Wyvern, Typhaggahw, of course).
Queefus, Bone Orc Shaman on Wyvern
The last of four Orcs on Wyverns sculpted by Tim Prow (Orc) and Gary Morley (Wyvern armour), Queefus is a mental Bone Orc Shaman with ceremonial skull and a nice hat, sat up on a mighty Wyvern (converted from the Brythoniaid Wyvern, Typhaggahw, of course).
All of the releases above were officially released on the 1st of October 2016, and so you can order them right now.
Watch out for the November releases, which should be unveiled soon!
