Steve Crisp has asked me to paint this 75m figure sculpted by Maurice Cory I hope I have done it justice .

The Celts spread throughout Western Europe in the 1st millennium BCE, they were the Gauls who stormed Rome in 390BCE ,and the Britons that Caesar fought in 55BCE .
There warfare was noisy and flamboyant with warriors crying out challenges to single combat

while the whole army shouted war cries and clashed weapons on shields, to the accompaniment of horn blowers and trumpeters .
( I must say that brings back vivid memory's when I was a serving Police Officer in South Wales on a Saturday night
Lol lol )
It took the icy efficiency of the Roman legions to defeat the wild rage in battle .

The Kit

It arrived in a strong box with ample packing to protect it on its journey, the figure is in light gray resin , it is a very crisp clean figure .There is the normal cleaning up but not a lot so well done Steve in that department .
The figure depicts a Celt Scout on the trail of a possible Roman Legion .
The sculpting is excellent ,nice one Moz , the figure position is well thought out lending it's self to other periods with simple conversion or addition should the modeller so wish.
The figure come with a sword and sabbard ,knife in scabbard axe and a shield which is very nicely sculpted with excellent wood effect on the inside which will be visible when set on back ,a small pice of lead foil needs to be added as part of shield strap .
The figure also come with a nicely detailed resin base to mount the figure on .
