Greetings,
Has anybody noticed the recent link from the home page of the Red Lancer's web site? Called "deadbeats", it is a list of customers who Chuck is simply informing all to "beware".
Interesting idea. Opinions of this concept?
Regards,
John

Hey John,

It has been there for some time. :) I am not so sure if it is good or bad but in your business I think I would like to know who does or does not pay. ;)

I too saw it a while ago, when I checked out the link, I couldn't say I was surprized at the list anybody that is on line knew this information years ago.

I think the list is a double edged sword. On one hand I can see where the list should be a private one shared amongst vendors only. This would only work if another vendor refused service to a customer until they settled their account with another vendor though. On the other hand I can see where Chuck (whom I have never had the pleasure to meet) has the right to publish this "list". I'm sure there has been attempts to recover the money but, like Robert, I'm a little confused as I thought the money was transfered first, then the figures are shipped.

I agree with the idea in principle, but in a global forum, you need to be careful with correctly identifying the right person. On a ship modelling forum I attend a lot, there is often a lot of angst created on the forum by badmouthing the forum moderator - who is unlucky enough to share his name with a know 'deadbeat'. Newbies to the site turn up saying all sorts of things without knowing exactly who they are talking to or about. Just be careful before sending any hate mail I guess!!!

For more than 6 months now , me and my friends here in Brasil cannot log into red lancers web site , it shows page not found .
For that matter , I tought Red lancer had closed , and never tryed to order from them again ....
Never seen anything like that , perhaps Brasil has a connection Problem with red lancers ?
I don't know what to do to see their website ....

I just did a google on the Red Lancers and it came up at the top of the list. Try that and click on it to see if you get in that way. It says that cookies must be enabled.

Chuck is still going strong.

Page not found , once again .
The weird thing is everybody I know who tried to get to the website here in brasil , also came up with blank page .
I've already tried from my job's computer , my Ipaq , and my Cell phone....
I'ts very strange ....
Thanks anyway.....
Regards
Julian
