Hey Guys,

I was just curious if anyone here has ever dealt with elite miniatures (re: missing parts). I bought their 54mm Charging Confederate, and got two of thesame arm, and no arm that i needed...so i sent them an email, thye asked for my address and said they'd send the part off. This was 2 months ago...i've since then sent them another email wondering about the part with no response. I'm just curious as to whether anyone has dealt with them before, or if this just has to do with customs and international mailing (i can't see it being a very large envelop for one arm).Just frustrating because i want to start on the figure..

Any help/suggestions would be great

Alex,

Consider yourself lucky! ;) They at least gave you a e-mail. I had tried to reach them so many times and they never had the decency to answer. To make matters even worse the dealer who I purchased the kit, Culloden Highlander, said it was not his problem! Well I almost pitched this kit so many times but then just did the best I could to try and work with it. It was still not perfect but I did the best I could. I will not ever buy any of their kits thru the mail but if I do decide to buy any others from them, I will open them up at the dealers table and check for anything missing and then if so have the dealer give me a new one or my money back. Good luck.

Here is the quality of the bust that I had. I had to fill and then refill so many air holes and then resculpt the tartan!

There were no more kits in stock at the dealer...so i hoped to get it through the manufacturer...
Ah well...
i'll just keep my fingers crossed...and send them another email.

Hmmph

Sounds like Soldiers. I only got a replacement arm (two of the left in the kit) after contacting a shop in Italy that contacted Soldiers for the replacement. It took about 2 months all told. Soldiers never replied to e-mails etc., it was Neil Berrington who hooked me up with the shop in Italy.

Good luck.

Hey Gray,

Thanks for clearing it up for me and I do appreciate the kind of customer service you give and I promise that if I buy any of their kits I will keep you in mind and I won't use the last dealer who sold me this bust. :)

The non responsiveness to emails could stem from a language problem. Participants of this board notwithstanding, the whole world does not speak English. Good business practices would indicate that it should be handled somehow.

I confess that I can not handle Italian, German, Russian or any other language out side of broken French.

Hi John

Good point about the language issue, but they have an English version of the website, so someone employed by Elite knows English... Yes, probably a contractor.

Many thanks Manuel for your response under these circumstances. I am pleased that you have taken the time to enter our forum and answer these problems personally. I am sure that members can now feel better when seeing and purchasing your fine figures and know that even under problematic situations like the posts here, are willing to stand up for your company and work to a solution.

I salute Elite Miniatures for responding right to the source.

Manuel, if you would be so kind as to email me your email address, I can keep it on file for anyone in the future who may have a problem [email protected]

Hey guys,

Thanks Manuel for posting on here as well. Nice to see a manufacturer that addresses problems publicly. As for my situation, i've sent you an email.

All is well..and i certainly apologize in light on the confusion if anything i said was taken the wrong way or seen in the wrong light. It wasn't my intention to say anything disparaging.
