The large scale figures are very keenly priced, but the Poste Militaire figures are i.m.h.o. overpriced. Ray Lamb's sculpting was superb, and some of his figures easily compare well with some of today's. However I wonder if more would have been sold, especially the mounted figures, if they were priced at a somewhat lower cost. As it is, I suspect that many of us are using ebay to obtain PM figures at a similar cost to modern 120mm resin figures.

Just bought a Revolutionary French Hussar Officer. Nice kit for £45 + Postage.

Buying the Poste Militaire Masters was an extremely good move by DF as they are still extremely good sellers and lovely items for the cabinet if you like the more static pose of figure. Can't blame him for capitalising on his investment.

Agree Keith. There's a timeless elegance about many of the PM figures and I still maintain that their mounted 90mm Guard Chasseur is probably the finest Napoleonic cavalry piece ever made in any scale. The horse especially seems anatomically perfect to me, but I'm no equestrian.
