Hi all, just completed this... it is a wounded soldier discharged at dawn. It is the second figure of the old VP P.O.W with Hornet wounded head. The 1st figure I painted early this year with the charcoal effect. This one I tried to paint in all shadow (figure, pillar and roof) to reflect the dawn sun light. The figure also receive a bit of yellow into the highlight.. All comment and critiques welcome

Pls note the cigaratte has smoke, need to pay lots of focus to see it...if you are lucky...

Very well done .I like unusual subjects. Tired of soldiers with the entire equipment and not a bit of mud....
ciao

WOW! Great work!
The color of the uniform and a gradation are very wonderful.
I felt the peculiar atmosphere.
I congratulate completion.

Hi Marc, Rocky, Perdro, Rocky, Mitsutaka - thanks for the postivie feedback

Hi Janne - Good eye sight! The blood is actuall browish purple with highlight of dark red, the lighting makes it loow brighter than it's actual color

Hi Steve - the charcoal effect was my earlier figure where the dim heat from barrel was reflected on the great coat as it was night time. I added red and blue to the Fieldgrey and tiny touchsunnyskintone and light orange to capture the effect.
