Hey all

This is 75mm resin from Tin Berlin

Arms of the Von Sternberg (Szternberk), vassals of the Bohemian Crown - they provided mercenaries for the Polish in the Battle of Grunwald 1410 and later also fought for Emperor Sigismund in the Hussite Wars.

Nicely done, it seems we got our inspiration from the same conflict. I think you forgot the shield straps, which I also forgot and had to place is after the painting process, hence the awkward positioning :DF1.jpg

Hello Peter, I saw yours on Putty & Paint and took notes, though your fleshwork is beyond my skill.

The straps are still unpainted in the box and I'm still unsure if I should use them because they'd obscure the sheen of the breastplate which I really like on this one :)

I think you should def use them, although application will be a pain in the ass with the fur. You will have to cut it into two pieces, just make sure you place it higher on the chainmail so it will only cover a tiny part of the breastplate :)

Excellent work!
Any relation to the notorious Ungern von Sternberg of the Russian Civil War/Asian Cavalry Brigade/Leader of the Heavenly kingdom of Mongolia who was executed by the patriotic army of Ulan Sukebator?

Thanks. I don't think so, but that would be an interesting figure to paint in larger scale.

Indeed he would be.I think there is one single picture of him where some of his facial features are visble.
