Hello Edson,
My advice would be the same.......the biggest that you are able to afford and have room for as they do fill up quickly.

I'd hardly call it a display cabinet but this is where my creatures reside most of the time (between shows) i.e. OUT OF SIGHT.

Ah well, I guess it's unlikely that a dentist would have paintings of teeth on his living-room walls!

I like your Travel Box Quang. I can't make out what you fasten down the miniatures with to ensure they stay in place. Some have suggested pre-drilling a hole in the bottom of the base and fastening them with a screw from underneath. In your case, what have you done to fasten them? I have purchased some 1/2 inch plywood last summer with this type of box in mind.

Thanks,

Guy

Guy,

The figures are just fastened down on the tray with BluTack:

It looks like chewing gum and is reusable.

Apart from the drawer handle on the top, there's no other fixture. The trays slide on rails made from wooden strips and are firmly blocked in place once the guillotine-type door is in place. For more security, you can use some extra BluTack to prevent the door from sliding up (which is unlikely).

The box on the photo was made ten years ago when we started PiLiPiLi and has travelled thousands of miles on car, boat, train, plane, you name it, without a single accident. So I guess it's a pretty foolproof method of storage.

Now as the family is steadily growing, we have two more boxes like that.

If you need more details about the construction, please shoot. ;)

I'd ask the hostess to put it in the closet where they usually store coats and guitar cases among other things.

Now that was BEFORE the new emergency regulations.
