You know, may be this is the rumors, but i heard that it is dangerous to read Master and Margo more then one times, because to much deavolish moments in this novel. In Russia I heard about it.

I've heard it too but I think that Bulgagov was using the devil as an easy way to critisize the Stalinist regime without drawing its attention (and the attention of its secret police of course).Anyway,he is one of the great novelists of Russia and that is a position not easily earned as Russia probably boasts the largest and most illustrious list of gigantic authors and poets of all times.
