I bought some Dorland's Wax many years ago. I was never able to use it. It thins the colors and makes the paint to transparent for my painting style. Also, if you speed your oils it can't be used. The heat causes it to melt an druins the paint job. I f you properly undercoat and use the most opaque oil colors you won't have problems with them drying matte so I see no need to add the Dorland's.
