Hi, ok I've primed my Greek merc but there is dots of primer. The surface was washed, sanded and wire brushed (not in that order), so do I remove these dots? will they show in my finish? do I just sand or file these off if so will this not show uneven lines in the primer surface when I respray? Also what is the metal tab with circles on each end that you get with the Pegaso Greek merc? Thanks in advance.

James

In two cases you have dots when priming, either you spray to far from the figure and the primer attach the figure's surface when it's already dry or you press the button on the primer for a very long time. You must press the button only for a couple of seconds when you and then leave it and again for a couple of seconds and again and again etc.You muts not have all the time pressing the button but only for sort amounts of time. You must remove the primer to respray the figure.
Chris.

This tiny tab, I've done a picture with the cloak for size reference. Thank you Chris P for the reply also. I think I made the mistake of letting some surface primer dry before respraying.

As you washed it's also possible it wasn't totally dry, I always use a hair dryer or leave it a full 24 hrs before I prime to ensure it's bone dry

Thanks Helm, I think it was dry though see I do modelling at the weekends so it was the weekend before I did all the sawing, pinning, washing etc, where this weekend thats just pasted I was priming.

I think that metal tab is a piece of the strap that holds the sword cover. It should be attached on the back of the figure.

Hi James,

Thanks for posting the photos James. I built this figure a couple of months ago and I threw away that metal strap as it did not appear to have any place on the kit. If as Piotr says, the strap is attached to the scabbard under the cloak, then you needn't bother adding it, as the cloak would completely obscure the strap anyway.

Thanks everyone, to tell the turth I did think it was something to do with the cloak but there wasn't anywhere to place the tab that made sense. Yeah it looks mostly like a strap over the scabbard but like you (tony) said I don't think I'll bother with it. Will post when I've finished this model.
