Dug this out the internet ,super plate by P Conrad

Thanks for posting this Ron, it is a plate I had never seen before and presumably unpublished. It is often possible to pick these things up from French Auction House Catalogues.

A nice one to add to the collection.

As an aside I notice that it is after a previous work by Maurice Orange one of my favourite French artists and sadly not included in the PF artists list-I might do something about that.

HI Ron, sorry I didn't save the links. I've usually happened on them when I have been searching through photos on the net.

Ron, I search for napoleonic uniforms by searching google using french terms.
Planches for plates
Aquarelles for watercolors
Uniformes,
Trompette
Tambour etc
Also naming an artist, pierre conrad etc.
So reading your post I switched application to google seaarch, selected images and
and googled:-
"Planches et aquarelles des uniformes, maurice orange.
Giving me this link I've used previously.
http://www.bertrand-malvaux.fr/p/7290/tambour-major-des-guides-esquisse-par-maurice-orange.html
And showing this image of a hussar I've never seen before
Hussard%20M%20Orange%2001.jpg

Next in the sequence was
dragoon%201798.jpg

I hope this may help. It always works for me,
Paul
