Dryad

Hi, Guys,

I’ve been taking a little break from Military and History subjects to try my hand at Fantasy genre, and here’s a project completed recently. It’s the lovely little Creepytables 1/10 sculpt of a forest Dryad. I did their “Mad Hatter” a few weeks ago and enjoyed that one as well, so will be keeping an eye out for further offerings from them.

After completing the figure, I discovered that there’s a version of this Dryad figure here in the Gallery section, painted by Lisa Mason. A different colour palette of course but still a beautiful version.

Yes a beautifully sculpted piece and a size that suits my skills. Can’t do the tiny sculpts lol.

Yes v pretty figure. After all the high/low lights I used an oil paint wash selectively on the leaves that gave them a kind of iridescent sheen.

Three or four excellent sculpts in this size (1/9-1/10), from Creepytables (via El Greco). Apart from the ‘Hatter’ this is the first I’ve done of this type in the Fantasy series, but the 3D sculpts are excellent. Highly recommended.
