Hi Gang
I have been reading the article about matt finish using oils and have come across the expression "Drying Box"
I know what this is although I havent got one and I am considering making one
Can anybody give me guidelines on size, material the box is made from, is it lined, bulb wattage , drying times etc
Or are there any threads with SBS and photos on how to build one
Cheers chaps
John

Hi Guys
Thanks for the info, have built this today Approx 15" high by 12" deep
I have installed a 60watt bulb and plugged it in for the first time, I put a thermometer in the box and after approx 1 hour it went up from 60 degrees room temperature to over 120 Degrees!
I am a bit concerned at such a high temperature is this normal? and will it damage the resin figure I am going to use it on?
Slightly concerned and am looking for some reassurance from the experts!
Cheers men
John

To be honest I haven't paint many resin figures.... maybe 1 or 2... but I had no problems with the 60W bulb. I never measured the temperature though... Just to mention...my drying box...doesn't seal perfectly... and a little air can come in....I don't think you will have any problems though.
